Who We Are
Camp Bennett offers impoverished children the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable Christian camp experience. Since 1934, we've provided a scenic and well-equipped venue for various ministry activities and rentals. We seek to serve the Lord and His people through a variety of programs and events.
What We Do
Camp Bennett is part of the Central Union Mission family—serving the Washington, DC, region with compassion for over 140 years. Owned and operated by the Mission, Camp Bennett is a legacy of love that began in 1934 when the Women’s Guild raised funds to give children in need a safe place to grow, play, and thrive.
Camp Bennett offers seven one-week sessions of summer camp fun for children from DC and the surrounding area. Thanks to our generous sponsors, camp is free for families facing financial hardship. Campers enjoy games, ropes courses, swimming, crafts, outdoor adventures, and nightly messages about the love of Jesus.
